Canadian CEO Growth Enables Canadian Companies to Flourish through CEO Coaching and Leadership Development Training

Executive Coaching Services

What is Executive Coaching

Executive Coaching is the process of guiding and mentoring CEOs and their executive level people to perform at their highest and best level. Whether it is meeting the challenge of a promotion or facing a quantum leap in performance required by a restructuring or change in strategic direction, our Executive Coaching program will provide the structure and process required for those individuals to implement the necessary changes.

Key concerns that CEOs have that can be resolved through executive coaching:

  1. My leadership and management team  does not execute well and are not accountable.
  2. I am not meeting my financial goals and my margins are shrinking.
  3. I wish I had better people who did what is required to grow my company.
  4. I worry that we are no longer competitive.
  5. Because of global competition I now need 20% productivity improvement.
  6. I am under pressure from my owners to obtain better results.
  7. I am not focused on key strategic issues, and I work mostly on day-to-day trouble shooting.
  8. My company has hit a ceiling and we can no longer grow. We are stuck.
  9. I recently acquired a new company, and my leaders cannot cope with these additional responsibilities.
  10. Some of my key managers are mediocre leaders and managers.

Maurice Dutrisac has facilitated training workshops for thousands of CEOs, VPs, directors, managers, and supervisors over his business careers.

Courses and workshops cover the basic management skills that all managers and supervisors must possess to be successful. With the work from home necessity during the pandemic the importance of having managers who have all the basic leadership and managerial skills have been a primeval necessity for all businesses.

The basic skills that all managers must possess to be effective are:

  • Communication skills to set context
  • Tasks assignment
  • Coaching
  • Goal setting
  • Performance evaluation
  • Team planning and handling change
  • Delegation
  • Teamwork
  • Continuous improvement
  • Lateral cross-over-manager accountabilities
  • Onboarding & deselection

Canadian CEO Growth offers training modules that will cover the above basic management skills. As a result, your managers and supervisors will be better able to meet your specifications for the best quality, quantity, time frames and use of resources thus allowing your company to grow.

Executive Training: Your Return on Investment

Many companies believe that training managers, supervisors and key staff is too costly and takes-up too much time away from key staff.

SHRM (the Society for Human Resource Management), the largest HR Association in the world, has been conducting surveys for over thirty years as to why employees leave their companies.  The answer may not be what you think.  These surveys have consistently shown that people do not quit the company, they actually quit their boss.

In general, people leave their jobs because they don’t like their boss, don’t see opportunities for promotion or growth, or are offered a better position and often with higher pay; these reasons have held steady for years.

Employees don’t need to be friends with their boss, but they need to have a good working relationship. The boss is too much of an integral part of their daily lives at work for an uncomfortable relationship.

The boss provides direction and feedback, spends time in one-to-one meetings, and mentors and coaches. This is the best way to connect the employee to the larger organization. To have a motivationally and unrewarding or toxic relationship with the person an employee reports to undermines the employee’s engagement, confidence, and commitment.

Your people will be more apt to stay if your managers and supervisors are trained on basic leadership and management skills.

If your managers and supervisors lack these basic skills, it will be like going to war with a great battle plan but lacking the staff who can lead and manage your workforce to victory. Many companies have outstanding marketing programs but if their products or services are too costly, defective, or delivered too late they will not grow or may fail. Military forces have the best leadership training programs in the world because failure can be fatal.
